AMD just dropped Adrenalin Edition 26.3.1 — and this one is a big deal for Radeon gamers, especially if you're running an RX 9070 or RX 9070 XT. FSR 4.1 is here, Ray Regeneration gets an upgrade, and two major new games get day-one support.
Here's the full breakdown.
FSR 4.1 — EXCLUSIVE TO RX 9000 SERIES NEW
The headline feature is FSR Upscaling 4.1, now enabled for Radeon RX 9000 series GPUs. According to AMD's Jack Huynh, FSR 4.1 delivers:
- Sharper image quality for ML-based upscaling with finer detail reconstruction
- Smoother camera motion across all ML-powered FSR games
- Reduced artifacts in scenes with foliage, hair, and fine textures
- Better temporal stability — less shimmer and ghosting on moving objects
FSR 4.1 builds on the FSR Redstone framework and is exclusive to RX 9000 series cards — that's the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT in our lineup. If you're running one of these in your Lone Star build, you're getting the best AMD upscaling has to offer.
What This Means for Your Build
If you chose an AMD Radeon GPU in your Maverick, Wrangler, or Outlaw build, FSR 4.1 is a free performance and quality upgrade. Just update your drivers and games that support FSR will automatically use the improved algorithm.
RAY REGENERATION 1.1 NEW
AMD also updated Ray Regeneration to version 1.1. This is AMD's real-time denoising technology for ray-traced effects. Version 1.1 brings:
- Enhanced reflections with less noise and more accuracy
- Improved global illumination quality
- Better performance in games using ray-traced lighting
This is another RX 9000 series exclusive feature that makes AMD's RDNA 4 ray tracing more competitive.
NEW GAME SUPPORT
Day-one optimized driver support for two major launches:
- Crimson Desert — The highly anticipated open-world RPG from Pearl Abyss. Full FSR and ray tracing support out of the gate.
- Death Stranding 2: On the Beach — Hideo Kojima's sequel arrives on PC with AMD-optimized performance.
BUG FIXES
Several important stability fixes in this release:
- Cyberpunk 2077 — Path Tracing Crash Fixed. A persistent crash-on-load issue when Path Tracing was enabled has been resolved. This bug has been around since the 26.2.1 release, so this is a welcome fix for Cyberpunk fans.
- Keyboard/Mouse Input Loss Fixed. A bug where users could lose keyboard and mouse control while interacting with the Adrenalin software has been patched. No more alt-tabbing nightmares.
- AMD Noise Suppression Fixed. The AI-powered noise cancellation feature was failing to enable on RX 6000 series and newer cards. Now works properly across all supported hardware.
- Battlefield 6 — Texture Flickering Fixed. Flickering textures when using Record and Stream in Battlefield 6 have been resolved.

HOW TO UPDATE
Three ways to get the latest driver:
- AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition — Open the app, go to the Home tab, and check for updates. One-click install.
- AMD.com — Head to amd.com/en/support and download for your specific GPU model.
- Auto-Detect Tool — AMD's auto-detect utility will identify your GPU and grab the right driver for you.
Pro Tip from Our Build Team
After installing Adrenalin 26.3.1, open AMD Software and check that FSR 4.1 is showing as available under the Gaming tab. If you're on an RX 9070 or 9070 XT, you should see the updated FSR version. If you don't, try a clean install using AMD's cleanup utility first.
THE BOTTOM LINE
This is a must-update for Radeon gamers. FSR 4.1 is a genuine image quality improvement over FSR 4.0, the Cyberpunk crash fix has been long overdue, and day-one support for Crimson Desert and Death Stranding 2 means you're ready to play on launch day.
Every Lone Star True Custom Rig that ships with a Radeon GPU comes pre-loaded with the latest stable Adrenalin drivers, tested and ready to game.
